In 1999, when we started out in our garage, car seats were still relatively basic, and advanced features like lumbar support and electric adjustments were just beginning to emerge. It was an exciting time as vehicles were starting to incorporate more ergonomic designs, and we were fortunate enough to be at the forefront of this evolution. By 2000, BMW began introducing more sophisticated seat technologies, and we were there to witness and engage with these new advancements firsthand. We have experienced highs and lows, learning valuable lessons along the way. It was also beneficial that the founder was part of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) community, allowing us to build strong relationships with BMW. This close connection with TUM and BMW gave us unparalleled insight into the evolution of vehicle seating technology.

There are plenty of temporary, weak solutions like lumbar support cushions or low-cost interior upgrades mostly available from china, and it may seem like anyone can just add these to improve comfort. The reality, however, is different! These quick fixes often provide minimal relief and can fail to address the root of the problem, leaving customers frustrated and still uncomfortable. Additionally, these weak upgrades can lead to improper integration with your vehicle’s systems, potentially causing more harm than good.

The retrofit is possible for all seats. Control units can be implemented via an external BMW lumbar support switch, and for electric seats, through the seat module.
Recommendation:
When retrofitting lumbar support, we also offer a seat width adjustment (also known as side bolster adjustment) for a promoted price.

The retrofit is possible for the majority of seats. This involves replacing the seat frame with an electric one, wiring it to the vehicle, and coding it.
